Here’s how to do them correctly.

Exercise is an important part of caring for our bodies. Here’s how to do push-ups like a pro!

  1. Lie facedown on the floor, legs straight. Place your hands by either side of your shoulders.
  2. Push your body up to rest on your hands and toes, with your elbows bent. Keep your back straight.
  3. Slowly raise yourself until your arms are straight, and then lower yourself until your arms are bent to a 90-degree angle.
  4. Repeat! If you need to, start with push-ups resting your weight on your knees (instead of your toes).

Tip: What many people get wrong with push-ups is their form—they stick their bottom in the air instead of keeping their back straight.

As is true with most exercising, push-ups get easier with practice as your muscles get stronger!
