Because God loves you, He doesn’t eliminate trials and hardships from your life. He sent you to earth so that you could grow to become more like Him. As He allows you to experience the struggles that help you learn, you might mistakenly feel like that is proof He doesn’t care about you. In fact, it shows the opposite—God loves you enough to let you grow into your divine potential as His child.

The bad things that happen to you here on earth may feel all-consuming now, but they are a short moment in the course of your eternal life. Everything that feels unfair in this life will be made right in the next, and you will understand the true joy of God’s plan for your happiness. The Apostle Paul taught that as we have faith in Jesus Christ, the temporary afflictions of this life will lead to a “far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17).

When you turn to God, there isn’t one specific prayer you need to recite for help. The Bible says, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matthew 21:22). Prayer can be an open conversation about anything you want to talk about. God is your loving Heavenly Father and wants you to speak from your heart. Tell Him your unique challenges, and He will give you the strength you seek.
