Nergal-sharezer

Nergal protect the king! Accompanied Nebuchadnezzar to Jerusalem, holding the office of Rab-mag (chief of the magi) (Jer. 39:3, 13). He is probably to be identified with the man of the same name who afterwards became king of Babylonia and is known in classical literature as Neriglissar.
