About Member Tools

Coming early 2026, Member Tools version 5.5 introduces new features to help leaders and members serve more effectively in their callings and ministering efforts.

• Create Child Records: Ward clerks can now create membership records for children of record.

• Search: Find what you need in seconds. Search across the app by member name, calling, or tile name—fast and easy.
• Menu: Navigate with ease. Use the new menu for quick access instead of scrolling through tiles.
• Profile: Keep your info fresh. Update contact details, adjust visibility settings, upload household photos, and view your membership and family details—all in one place.
• Settings: Make it yours. Switch between light and dark themes, set photo download preferences, and let former mission leaders stay connected.
• Help: Stay in the know. Discover what’s new, get answers to FAQs, and share feedback to make the app even better.
• Sync: Never miss a beat. Turn on auto-sync or manually refresh your data whenever you want.
• Actions and Messages: Stay informed. See what actions are due and read messages from Church headquarters and area offices.
• Directory: Connect instantly. Access contact info and photos for members in your ward or branch and stake or district—including those you minister to.
• Manage Records: Simplify your administrative work. Bishops, branch presidents, and clerks can move records and record ordinances with ease.
• Organizations: Quickly view organizations. View ward or branch and stake or district callings and members by organization, and leaders can record and update callings in seconds.
• Calendar: Plan and share. View ward or branch and stake or district event calendars, manage visibility, and make activities public for friends of the Church.
• Groups: Collaborate effectively. Create custom groups of members in your ward and stake for easier communication.
• Meetinghouses: Find your meetinghouse fast. Get locations, addresses, sacrament meeting times, and the option to contact the bishop or branch president.
• Ministering: Minister with confidence! View assignments, resources, and record interviews quickly and easily.
• Finance: Simplify finances. Submit payment requests, donate online, review and approve expenses, and record tithing declarations—all in one place.
• Missionary: Connect and share. Access contact info for missionaries serving in or from your ward and introduce friends to them.
• Temple and Family History: Worship in the house of the Lord. View your recommend, nearby temples, and ordinance schedules. Submit names to the prayer roll, find family names with Ordinances Ready, and set reminders for recommend expiration. Leaders can issue and activate recommends too!
• Reports: Lead with insight. Ward and stake leaders can view and update membership reports, track attendance, and confirm training for youth callings.

Since its introduction in 2010, the Member Tools app has grown from a digital directory of ward or branch and stake or district members to a powerful tool with additional capabilities supporting both members and leaders throughout the Church.

As we continue to add helpful features, the app will eventually be renamed Member and Leader Tools. New features being added are the result of the Church conducting extensive research with members around the world.
