Welcome to YA Weekly—a weekly publication right here in your Gospel Library app written for young adults by young adults, as well as Church leaders and other experts on topics relevant to us today.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help you find answers to your challenges and the strength to face them. We’ll do this by exploring the gospel of Jesus Christ together and examining how young adults all over the world are striving to live it.

We’ve been writing articles since 2018, and we’ve covered monthly topics that are relevant to you:

And so much more!

About Us

First things first: this whole section was inspired by you. We are faced with decisions, new challenges, and a whole lot of changes during this time in our lives. And we want to guide you through it all. We also want you to know that we see you for who you are rather than by your marital status, which is why this section isn’t called YSA Weekly. This content is made for all young adults, single or married or single again, because your impact on the Church—and the world—can be immeasurable, regardless of your current stage in young adulthood.

We also think that the topics we deal with will be of interest to all young adults, even those who are over 35 years old. We know your interest in the topics and challenges we’ll be talking about likely won’t change just because you had another birthday. The issues we face today are relevant to most all of us and big enough for all of us to work through together, no matter how old we are.

We realize that you all come from different walks of life, educational backgrounds, economic levels, cultures, and circumstances. So we’ll cover a variety of topics, and many of our stories will be available in more than 20 languages in the Gospel Library—we want to reach all of you and be relevant to all of you. Young adults from all over the world are bringing their faith and talents to the Church. In many places, we aren’t just tomorrow’s leaders, we’re leading the Church today, including areas where the Church has been established for a long time. And our impact will stretch even beyond today, because we’re also the parents of the next generation.

We Could Go On

There’s so much more we could say about the value and potential of young adults, but if we go on, it will sound like we’re bragging (because our generation is just that good). Suffice it to say, God needs us, we need God and His Church, and we also need each other. Together “[we] will make history,” as President Russell M. Nelson said of young adults. “He will enable you to accomplish the impossible. …

“… You ‘are a chosen generation’ (1 Peter 2:9), foreordained by God to do a remarkable work—to help prepare the people of this world for the Second Coming of the Lord!”1

In spite of the ever-changing present and the pressing unknowns of the future, young adulthood can be a wonderful time of self-discovery and growth, finding our purpose here on the earth, and learning how to keep the gospel at the center of our lives. We’re excited to be on this journey with you and hope you’ll be a regular visitor!
