“Light of the World,” New Era, Apr. 1994, 10–11

Special Issue:
Rejoice in Christ

In Tune:

Light of the World

1. He walked the shores of Galilee;

He said to all, “Come, follow me.”

He healed the blind, He calmed the seas.

He taught of faith, and love, and peace.

Although the world would not believe,

He marked the path to guide the way.

The light of Christ is burning bright,

bringing light to ev’ry day.

Chorus

He is the light of the world,

a guide unto my path,

a lamp unto my eyes.

He is the light of the world,

shining through the dark,

brightening the skies.

2. The light of Christ is ev’rywhere

I know he lives, I know he cares.

When days are dark, When I’m alone,

I need His love to bring me home.

Sometimes I wonder where to turn,

Sometimes it’s hard to choose what’s right,

But Christ the Lord has shown to all

the way, the truth, and the light.

Chorus
