He does know

About one week before the January 1993 issue came out, I was very depressed and discouraged. I didn’t like myself and I felt as if the Lord didn’t even know I existed. When the New Era arrived, I sat down to read it. As I reached the end, there was the article “Like Yourself.” It was just what I needed. I realized that Heavenly Father does know I’m here and he loves me very much. Thank you for all the wonderful articles.

Mormonads are meaningful

Thank you so much for the Mormonads in your magazine. In South Africa there is a lot of racial conflict. We are now slightly afraid to travel because of the problems around us. Knowing this, I’m sure you can understand my gratitude for the “Family Photo” Mormonad in the July 1992 issue. It has a place of honour on our notice board at church. Thanks for that picture and message in my favourite magazine.

It’s become a friend

I would like to tell you how grateful I am for the New Era. Thank you so much for printing such a supportive magazine that we as Latter-day Saint teens can use in our lives. The New Era helps me keep my standards high. Many of the articles and stories have helped me when I’m depressed. It’s tough for youth to always choose the right in today’s world. There is so much against us, and the magazine really lessens the effect of the world in my life. The New Era has become more than just a magazine to me. It’s become a friend.

Through a magazine

I had to write and tell you how much I appreciated the story “A Father’s Blessing” in the March 1993 issue. It couldn’t have come at a better time. I recently had many questions about my patriarchal blessing and my relationship with Heavenly Father that concerned me. About a week before I was to receive my blessing, I read this article and realized the Lord answered my questions through a magazine. The Spirit came very strong and I felt calm, peaceful, and very inspired the rest of that week. I then had a great deal of incentive for my patriarchal blessing. That article was very helpful.

Can hardly wait

I’d like to take a moment and thank you for the spirit your magazine brings into my life each month. I can hardly wait to open it and read the great articles inside. They always seem to be exactly what I need at that moment in my life. Thank you so much.

Sundays mean more

Thanks so much for printing “Day of Delight” in the June 1993 issue. It had such a powerful effect on me. I think Sundays will mean a lot more to me now. I really enjoy reading the New Era, as words cannot express my gratitude.
