After All
August 1975

“After All,” New Era, Aug. 1975, 27

After All

Spanish moss hangs

from every branch,

Tattered clothing

on the old tree

That has seen so much

bloodshed

Between brothers,

Silent observers

neutral

unconcerned

Watching God’s children

fight it out

to accomplish

Little,

After all,

and

Gray Spanish moss

still sways in the breeze.
