Temple and Family History Consultant

Ward Level Consultant

Stake Level Consultant
May be given a specific assignment to direct or serve in a family history center, lead stake indexing efforts, or facilitate stake family history activities and events.

Area Level Consultant
Provides help and support to stake leaders and stake temple and family history consultants.
Directed by: Area Seventy
Family history support resource: Family history area manager
High Priests Group Leader
Works with the bishopric and ward council to integrate family history into ward plans and objectives, and directs the work of the ward temple and family history consultants.
Recommends to the bishop individuals to serve as ward temple and family history consultants.

Ward Council
Counsels together to identify individuals and families who consultants can help with family history.
Incorporates temple and family history work into annual activity and teaching schedules. Seeks to involve youth and recent converts in family history.

Bishop
Leads temple and family history work in the ward.
Calls ward temple and family history consultants.

High Councilor Assigned to Family History
Works with the stake presidency and stake councils to integrate family history into stake plans and objectives, and coordinates the work.
Recommends individuals for stake temple and family history consultant callings. Oversees stake indexing efforts and family history center operations.

Stake President
Leads temple and family history work in the stake. Works with the high councilor(s) assigned to family history to organize and coordinate the work.
