October 27–November 2: Doctrine and Covenants 124

Integrity Hearts

The Lord loved His servant Hyrum Smith because of the “integrity of his heart” (Doctrine and Covenants 124:15). Look up what the word integrity means and talk about it with your family. Then draw a big heart on a piece of paper. Inside the heart, draw or write something you can do to have integrity.

For younger children: Help your child make a heart shape with their hands. Say, “I show Heavenly Father I love Him by …” and help your little one think of a way they can show their love.

November 3–9: Doctrine and Covenants 125–128

Family Photo Frame

When Brigham Young returned from his mission, the Lord commanded him to care for his family (see Doctrine and Covenants 126). Make and decorate a frame to hold a picture of your family. How can you care for each other?

For younger children: Link arms with your little one. Ask them what they love about their family and share what you love.

November 10–16: Doctrine and Covenants 129–132

Following the Leader

Our bodies are like the bodies of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ (see Doctrine and Covenants 130:22). Play this game to celebrate your body! Take turns choosing an action, like jumping or patting your head. Everyone else copies the action.

For younger children: Practice pointing to body parts and naming them. Remind your child their body is a blessing.

November 17–23: Doctrine and Covenants 133–134

Loving Service

Jesus Christ is loving and kind (see Doctrine and Covenants 133:52). Put each person’s name in a bowl. Pick a name and secretly serve that person this week.

For younger children: Help your little one do something kind, like sharing a treat or saying something nice.

November 24–30: Doctrine and Covenants 135–136

Joseph Smith’s Story

Joseph Smith was the Prophet of the Restoration (see Doctrine and Covenants 135:3). Draw pictures from his life. How can you know he was a prophet?

For younger children: Find a quiet place outside, like Joseph Smith did. Tell your child a story about him.
