Come, Follow Me Activities

June 30–July 6: Doctrine and Covenants 71–75

Service Hearts

God calls bishops and branch presidents to help serve the people in their wards or branches (see Doctrine and Covenants 72:2). Cut out paper hearts and write things you love about your bishop or branch president on each one. Tape the hearts to the door of their office or home.

July 7–13: Doctrine and Covenants 76

Celestial Sun

Someday we can live in the celestial kingdom with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our families (see Doctrine and Covenants 76:62, 70, 92). The scriptures compare the celestial kingdom to the sun. Use a paper plate or piece of paper to make a sun. Cut out paper triangles for the rays of sunlight and glue or tape them to the circle. Talk about what you can do now to prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ someday.

July 14–20: Doctrine and Covenants 77–80

Animal Actions

Under God’s direction, Jesus Christ created every creature on earth (see Doctrine and Covenants 77:2). Play an animal guessing game! One person pretends to be a certain animal. Everyone else tries to guess what animal they are. Once you guess it right, say something you like about that animal.

July 21–27: Doctrine and Covenants 81–83

Sing and Pray

Children singing

Heavenly Father always hears our prayers (see Doctrine and Covenants 81:3). With your family, sing “A Child’s Prayer” (Children’s Songbook, 12). Start the song with just one person. Then slowly have everyone else join in. After you sing, talk about things you can pray for as a family.
