Money Moon

By Sylvia Cirone Deck

The moon is a copper penny,

Shiny, bright, and new.

It glows above the mountaintops,

Waiting for its cue.

This copper coin—suspended there—

Then starts its long, slow climb,

And rising through the evening sky

Becomes a silver dime.
