The Sun Walks In His Castle

The Sun Walks In His Castle

The sun walks in his castle.

He mounts a crystal stair

Where dawn’s bright silken banners

Are fluttering everywhere.

He climbs the steps, majestically,

Inspects his airy home,

And strides its highest parapets

Beneath that azure dome.

Then down the western staircase

In regal pomp he goes,

To the great hall’s flickering firelight

As sunset portals close.
