Year-round Tomatoes

Last year we discovered that tomatoes are perennials and bear year-round in warm climates. So before the first frost, we selected a cherry tomato plant from our garden, potted it in a decorative container, and relocated it to one of our sunny south windows. It thrived. Many people complimented us on the plant’s beauty and its wonderful fragrance; but our greatest delight came from eating its fruit all winter long.—Colleen Staker, Salt Lake City, Utah
