Saturday Morning, 3 April 1982, Welfare Session

Under the direction of Donald H. Ripplinger, with Roy M. Darley as organist, the congregation sang three hymns: “Now Let Us Rejoice” by Phelps (Hymns, no. 118), “Hope of Israel” by Clayson (Hymns, no. 64), and “How Firm a Foundation” by Kirkham (Hymns, no. 66).

Saturday Morning, 3 April 1982, General Session

The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold Ottley, with organist Robert Cundick, sang “Come, Rejoice” by Cannon (Hymns, no. 1), “Break Forth into Joy” by Barnby (Corporation of the President), “See What Love Hath the Father” by Mendelssohn (G. Schirmer), “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” by Wyeth (Hymns, no. 70), “How Gentle God’s Commands” by Naegeli (Hymns, no. 67), “Hail Thou, King of Glory” by Grieg (G. Schirmer), and “Benediction” by Manookin (Sonos), “Eternal Life” by Dungan, arr. Bock (John Church Co.). The congregation sang “Israel, Israel, God Is Calling” by Converse (Hymns, no. 81).

Saturday Afternoon, 3 April 1982, General Session

The Brigham Young University Combined Choirs, directed by Ronald Staheli, with organist Roy M. Darley, sang “The Lord’s Prayer” by Robertson (Galaxy), “Awake, Ye Saints of God, Awake!” by Stephens, arr. Staheli (manuscript), and “Oh, May My Soul Commune with Thee” by Wheelwright, arr. Dayley (Pioneer Music Press). The congregation sang “Come, O Thou King of Kings” by Pratt (Hymns, no. 20).

Saturday Evening, 3 April 1982, Priesthood Session

A priesthood choir from the American Fork, Utah; Alpine, Utah; and Timpanogos, Utah Regions, directed by Donald H. Ripplinger and Leslie Rees, with organist Roy M. Darley, sang “Ye Who Are Called to Labor” by Page (Hymns, no. 345), “Behold! I Come Quickly” by Jessop (Musicart West), and “Guide Us O Thou Great Jehovah” by Hughes, arr. Ripplinger (Musicart West). The congregation sang “The World Has Need of Willing Men” by Thompson (Hymns, no. 206).

Sunday Morning, 4 April 1982, General Session

The Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directed by Jerold Ottley and Donald Ripplinger, with organist John Longhurst, sang “God of Our Fathers, We Come unto Thee” by Beesley (Hymns, no. 50), “For the Beauty of the Earth” by Kocher, arr. Manookin (Sonos), “Prayer Is the Soul’s Sincere Desire” (men only) by Careless (Hymns, no. 324), “O Brother Man!” by Robertson (Galaxy), “We Ever Pray for Thee” (women only) by Stephens, arr. Manookin (Sonos), “Lord of the Hills” by Phillips (Novello), “Come, We That Love the Lord” by Williams (Hymns, no. 25), “Jesus, Our Lord, We Adore Thee” by James (G. Schirmer), and “Thy Spirit, Lord, Has Stirred Our Souls” by Schreiner (Hymns, no. 204). The congregation sang “High on the Mountain Top” by Beesley (Hymns, no. 62).
