Bishop Sean Douglas was named Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric on November 14, 2025. At the time of his call to the Presiding Bishopric, he was serving as President of the Mexico Area.
Bishop Douglas was sustained as a General Authority Seventy on April 3, 2021, and served in that capacity until his call to the Presiding Bishopric.
Bishop Douglas has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Chile Concepción Mission, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president, stake executive secretary, counselor in a bishopric, bishop, Area Seventy executive secretary, president of the Peru Lima South Mission, and Area Seventy.
Bishop Douglas received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1988. He then worked as a certified public accountant for Price Waterhouse. From 1990 to 2021, he worked for the Huntsman Corporation in various capacities, including division controller, treasurer, vice president of administration, vice president of corporate development, and executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Sean Douglas was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 1, 1964. He married Patricia Ann Dickson in 1985. They are the parents of four children.
