Edward Dube was born in Chiramanzu, Zimbabwe, on May 12, 1962. He married Naume Keresia Salizani on December 9, 1989. They are the parents of four children.
He received a diploma in education in 1992 from Zimbabwe D.E. College and studied entrepreneurship at the University of South Africa in 2003.
He has served in several Church callings, including full-time missionary in Zimbabwe, district president, branch president, stake president, president of the Zimbabwe Harare Mission, and Area Seventy.
At the time of his call, Elder Edward Dube had been serving as a member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy in the Africa Southeast Area. He is currently serving as the First Counselor in the Africa South Area Presidency. Prior to this assignment, Elder Edward Dube was serving as First Counselor in the Africa West Area Presidency.
He has worked in many positions for the Church Educational System in Africa for over 15 years.
