There are many ways to honor the Savior.

Why do you think the prophet emphasized this one?

One of the recurring themes of this past general conference was... well... not being mean. Several leaders encouraged us to be kind. And taking it one step further, the prophet taught us what we should do when others choose to be mean. Instead of escalating the hatred, we should try and create peace.

“I am greatly concerned that so many people seem to believe that it is completely acceptable to condemn, malign, and vilify anyone who does not agree with them,” President Russell M. Nelson said. “As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to be examples of how to interact with others—especially when we have differences of opinion. One of the easiest ways to identify a true follower of Jesus Christ is how compassionately that person treats other people.”

His quote on the card above is interesting, because it’s a reminder that this isn’t just about our relationship with others—it’s also about our relationship with the Savior. We show whether or not we are true Christians by whether we sow hatred or peace. Let’s choose to spread peace today!

Imagine If...

Use your imagination to come up with three scenarios where you might have to be a peacemaker. What would you say or do?
