You mean everything to Him.
Years ago, while sitting in the window seat of an airplane, I distinctly remember leaning against the window so I could feel the rays of the sun.
The feeling was warm and enveloping.
However, just a few minutes later, as the plane descended below the clouds to land, it became dark and overcast.
As I walked through the airport terminal, I could tell other passengers were worried about the weather and the darkness in the skies.
I wanted to tell them:
“Don’t worry... In a few minutes, you’re going to feel differently. You’re going to feel the sun! It’s up there, I promise!”
That sunshine and that warmth I felt above the clouds is much like God’s love for us.
It is simply always there.
Even when we may only see overcast skies in front of us, His love, is like the sun above the dark clouds.
In your lifetime, a prophet of God taught, “God’s love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there” (President Thomas S. Monson, “We Never Walk Alone,” general conference, Oct. 2013).
God knows you and loves you, especially when you’re feeling small and insignificant.
You mean everything to Him.
And just because you don’t remember your Heavenly Father doesn’t mean He’s forgotten you.
He absolutely remembers you; He remembers every single wonderful thing about you!
It is my witness that He is watching over you … even leaning toward you right now in love.
