After the shepherds saw the baby Jesus, they testified of what they had seen. They made their message “known abroad … and all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.” The shepherds were right to share their testimonies. But Mary was also right to ponder things in her heart. As we heed the Spirit, we can know what we should share, and which sacred experiences should be kept private.
