It’s a simple thing Jesus Christ asked us to do.

Let’s show Him that we remember His sacrifice!

Imagine you were in a really dangerous situation with no way to survive on your own. Then, in an act of courageous heroism, someone you loved decided to rescue you—even though it meant they would die. In their final moments, they asked you to pause once a week and remember how much they loved you.

In many ways, that’s like what Jesus Christ did. “This do in remembrance of me,” He said while giving His disciples the sacrament—before courageously facing the Garden of Gethsemane and the cross of Calvary.1

Our Savior doesn’t ask us to remember His sacrifice because He wants us feel guilty about what happened to Him. Quite the opposite! He wants us to remember how much He loves us and have a few minutes to witness that we love Him too.

Pausing to Remember

How can you make the sacrament more meaningful this week?
