Have you ever tried them baked?

Pop quiz: How many kinds of apples can you name?

Chances are, you didn’t come up with all 7,500 varieties. (And if you did, please contact us, because we need to meet you.) Who knew there were so many different types of apples?!

It’s great that there are so many apples in this world, because they are packed with vitamins and minerals. For example:

  • Apples have lots of antioxidants, which help protect your body against heart disease and cancer.
  • Apple peels are rich in fiber, which helps lower cholesterol and regulate blood sugar levels.
  • Apples are also high in vitamin C, which strengthens your immune system.

With all these amazing health benefits, it’s no wonder that so many people say “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”!

Here is a tasty apple treat to try.

Baked Apples

  • 4 medium apples, cored
  • 4 tablespoons sugar

  2. Place the apples in a greased 8″ x 8″ (20 x 20 cm) glass baking dish.
