Believing in the Savior’s Wisdom and Power

The infuriating unfairness that abounds in this fallen world causes many to reject God’s existence. I can understand why some might come to that conclusion, but I declare and believe with all my heart that, because of His great atoning sacrifice, the Savior, Jesus Christ, recognizes and understands unfairness and will ultimately compensate for any unfairness inflicted on you or on any of Heavenly Father’s children.

However, you and I may want to know, “How? How is Jesus Christ going to do that?” To my knowledge, God has not revealed “how” to His prophets, seers, and revelators. What I do know is that for us to insist on knowing “how” before we begin to trust in and develop faith in Him and His promises is misguided. It ignores the reality of what God did reveal to Isaiah about Himself: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8).

Hold your questions about “how” for later and work on developing faith in Heavenly Father and His plan and in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Work to “Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend” (Mosiah 4:9).
