Answers to prayers can come in a lot of different ways.

You could be someone else’s answer.

Have you ever prayed to feel less lonely? Or that someone would be your friend? What type of answer did you expect?

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles has taught: “Prayers are answered . . . most of the time . . . by God using other people. Well, I pray that he’ll use us. I pray that we’ll be the answer to people’s prayers.”1

Next time you’re looking for an answer, remember that another person’s smile or conversation might be part of it. And you can be an answer for someone else too, just by sharing what you already have with others around you.

Read more about being an answer to someone else’s prayer here in the July 2023 magazine.

Pray to Be an Answer

Heavenly Father loves to involve us in His work. Perhaps you could ask Him to help you see opportunities to be an answer to someone else’s prayer this week!
