Covenant Path Progress Report

The Covenant Path Progress report is used to help new members track their progress along the covenant path during their first two years of Church membership. It is available to local leaders through the Reports menu in the Member Tools app and Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR). The report should be used as a key coordinating tool by local leaders. They should open and review it regularly, including as part of ward council, coordination meetings, and when they meet with the full-time missionaries.

The Covenant Path Progress report is integrated with the Area Book Planner app the full-time missionaries use. When information is updated in one of them, the other is automatically updated. The following have access to the report:

Ward - Editing Ability

  • New member
  • Bishopric (including clerks and secretaries)
  • Elders quorum presidency
  • Relief Society presidency
  • Ward mission leader (including assistant ward mission leader)
  • Ward missionaries

Ward - View Only

  • Ward temple and family history leader
  • Primary presidency
  • Young Women presidency
  • Sunday School presidency

Stake and Mission - View Only

  • Stake presidency (including clerks and secretaries)
  • High councilors
  • Stake Relief Society presidency
  • Mission presidency, including companion, clerks, and secretaries (through LCR only)

Local leaders should also review and use the following resources publicly available in the Gospel Library App and on ChurchofJesusChrist.org:

  • My Covenant Path: The My Covenant Path resource guides new and returning members through experiences that will help them progress along the covenant path.
  • Strengthening New and Returning Members: This training outline for the My Covenant Path and Covenant Path Progress tools can be used to train stake and ward councils.
  • Helping New Members: This chart or teaching aid suggests key things that should happen before baptism, right after baptism, and within the first year.
  • Strengthening New Members: These five videos show how the My Covenant Path principles were applied with a family that was found, taught, and baptized, and then attended the temple.
