• “Anthony’s Dream” (March 2020 Liahona and Friend)
    Anthony Uzodimma Obinna (1928–95) had a dream about the temple and wanted to learn more about the Church. He later became the first branch president when the Church was established in Nigeria.
  • Rose Marie Reid (1906–1978) was a clothing designer who stood up for modesty and also helped design temple clothing. 
  • “An Olympic Decision” (January 2019 Friend)
    Eric Liddell was an Olympic runner who chose not to compete in his normal race because it was scheduled for a Sunday and instead ran in a different race.
  • “Becoming Dr. Cannon” (March 2019 Liahona and Friend)
    Martha Hughes Cannon followed President Brigham Young’s encouragement and became one of the first women doctors in Utah.
  • “Keeping the Orphans Warm” (May 2019 Friend)
    George Müller (1805–1898) had faith and prayed that a heater could be fixed quickly at one of his orphanages.
  • “Serving the Lord in Spanish” (October 2019 Liahona and Friend)
    Meliton Gonzalez Trejo (1844–1917) felt inspired to find the Church and was able to help translate the Book of Mormon into Spanish.
