Mindy Booth Baxter

Relief Society Advisory Council Member

Mindy Booth Baxter was born to Russell K. and Nina Woodbury Booth and raised in Salt Lake City. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public communication from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in public administration from New York University. She has worked in international development and financial compliance and is now a chef in Salt Lake City. Sister Baxter and her husband, Ryan D. Baxter, were married in 2018.

Prior to her call to the Relief Society general advisory council, Sister Baxter served as Relief Society president in her single adult ward. She has served as a Primary chorister, stake Relief Society counselor, ward Relief Society counselor and president, ward Young Women president, temple ordinance worker, and Church-service missionary to the Relief Society General Presidency.

Sister Baxter loves the temple, music, and cooking with her nieces and nephews. She has a testimony of the promise in Alma 37:45 that “the words of Christ, if we follow their course, [will] carry us beyond this vale of sorrow into a far better land of promise.”
