Youth from around the world testify of what they learned during the April 2018 general conference.
Many of you shared your notes, testimonies, and insights from the April 2018 general conference, and since we couldn’t fit them all in one post, we’re going to keep publishing them here. Last month we shared experiences from those of you who talked about sustaining a new prophet, and this month we are focusing on the personal revelation you received and the things you felt.
I Can Create a Sacred Place
I loved when Elder De Feo taught, “True disciples love to ‘stand in holy places’ and love to make holy the places where they stand.” This touched my heart because I love visiting temples and feeling the wonderful spirit there. I know if I live worthy of the Holy Ghost as my companion, I can create a sacred place wherever I am.

We Need to Listen Closely
I learned that forgiveness is a very important part of the Atonement. I know that we need to serve others like Jesus did. I know that we need to listen closely and open our hearts and minds to the promptings and whisperings of the Spirit. I know that if we are meek He will guide, protect, and strengthen us through the Spirit. I know that God loves all of His children.

Able to Be Together
I wore things that belonged to past family members that I plan on doing temple work for. During this conference, I just kept thinking I’ll get to see these lovely relatives I didn’t know well on this side of the veil, and we will be able to be together. I know that we have a great worth and can individually assist others coming to truly know Christ.

There Is Peace in Christ
I know that God gives us challenges for a reason. Even though the world can be a hard place, I know that there is peace in Christ. I know that when we face trials it’s best to say, “Thy will be done,” and stay close to the Holy Ghost and Heavenly Father.

A Huge Comfort for a Lost Teen
General conference has been a huge comfort for a confused and lost teen like me. Seeing the prophet smile and giggle while announcing the new temples makes me happy as well. Hearing these messages manifests to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church and that its leaders are called and ordained by God. These messages will leave a precious mark in my heart of the things I should work on for the next six months.

Replace Question Marks with Exclamation Points
I was really inspired by Neil L. Andersen’s talk on the Holy Ghost. High school is a real trial of my faith, and when Elder Andersen was talking about replacing question marks with exclamation points, it really inspired me to set aside the doubts I might have and focus on listening to the comfort and guidance that has been given to me—to keep going strong with the faith that I have.
