This course will provide the doctrinal foundation and historical context needed to gain an accurate understanding of Church doctrine and history. Students will study the scriptures, doctrine, and Church history in ways that relate to their lives and circumstances.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Students will deepen their understanding of the restored gospel, latter-day revelations, and Church history and how these relate to Heavenly Father’s plan for the redemption of His children. Students will further develop their capacity to study the scriptures in context and strengthen their scholarship relating to the Restoration. They will increase in their ability to seek truth, evaluate the validity and reliability of source material, and discern truth from error. As students develop greater faith in Jesus Christ and a stronger testimony of the restored gospel, they will increase in their commitment to make and keep sacred covenants and be better prepared to share the message of the Restoration.
