問題：有哪些常見的統計資料可顯示成員罹患身心障礙的情況？

答案：由於這是一個全球性的教會，因此沒有相關的統計數據可以顯示成員與各國人口罹患身心障礙的比例。但是，下列數據顯示出美國一地的普遍情形：

  • 美國有17％的兒童患有發展障礙。這些終身的身心障礙從兒童時期開始，對孩子的健康和能否順利求學，都會帶來嚴重的影響。這些身心障礙包括生理的、心理的、智能以及說話能力的損傷。1
  • 美國有22％的成年人（18歲及以上）據報患有身心障礙。2
  • 18歲以上的美國成年人有超過46％一生中有一次被診斷出心智障礙。焦慮、衝動控制障礙、情感障礙（例如憂鬱症和躁鬱症）以及藥物濫用，是最常見的例子。3其他的身心狀況可能還包括睡眠障礙、癡呆和飲食失調。
