Using Practice Audits to Learn the Auditing System

Overview

Doing practice audits is an effective way to become familiar with the audit questions and the audit process. Practice audits differ from regular audits only as follows:

  • The words Practice Audit, along with some other information, appear in a large, red banner at the top of the audit window.
  • The name of the Church unit is not displayed.
  • For privacy reasons, some transaction details are hidden.
  • Your work is not saved.

Doing a Practice Audit

All users can do practice audits. For a list of authorized users, see Accessing the Auditing System.

To begin a practice audit, click Conduct Practice Audit. (The following screenshots are in English, but the layout is the same in all languages.)

Click Ward or Branch or Stake or District, depending on the type of Church unit you want to practice for.

Some users have the option of conducting a practice audit of a specific ward or stake. If available, click the three stacked dots (the context menu icon) on the same line as its name and click Conduct Practice Audit.

How to Recognize a Practice Audit

While you are doing a practice audit, the words Practice Audit, along with some other information, appear in a large, red banner at the top of the audit window.

Quitting a Practice Audit

To end a practice audit, click Quit the Current Audit, or Practice Ward or Branch. Your practice session ends, and your practice audit entries are not saved. Practice audit information cannot be saved as an actual audit.
