Signing and Submitting an Audit

Overview

Stake auditors, bishops, the stake audit committee, and stake presidents have distinct responsibilities when performing, completing, and submitting an audit. As each completes their responsibilities, they sign the audit. Their signatures certify that they have fulfilled their responsibilities up to that point and will fulfill any subsequent responsibilities.

For example, the stake auditor’s signature certifies that they have answered all audit questions, entered an explanation for each audit exception, and reviewed all audit exceptions with the unit leader and the clerk for finances.

Signing an Audit

Follow the steps below to sign an audit:

  1. Sign in to the auditing system.
  2. Go to the line that lists the ward or stake whose audit you want to sign.
  3. After completing the actions appropriate to your role, including entering any corrective actions for exceptions noted during the audit, click the box under “Review Completion” in the Audit Review Summary screen.

If nothing happens when you click the box, some information may be missing, or someone else needs to sign the audit prior to you signing.
