A new version of Calendar was released on November 15, 2022. The previous version of Calendar used outdated technology and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. For security reasons, we had to migrate to the new version of Calendar before all the features were ready. Some features are still being worked on. The agenda view has now been restored. Also, a new Event Search option has been added in the gear icon menu to make it easier to find events.
Location name, availability, time zone, and rooms can now be edited online. Administrators can now be added by calling. A bug related to setting a Calendar user’s time zone has also been fixed.
Calendars can now be printed as a list of events based on a selected date range. Calendars that are turned on in the left panel of the calendar page will be included in the export.
The current day is now highlighted on the month view. A bug has been fixed preventing users from opening calendar events from the My Home page.
Two bugs have been fixed related to the logout process and editors added by name showing as viewers. On the week view, the date has been added to the top of the column.
Calendar now provides support for making Monday the first day of the week. A “Choose Calendars” link has also been added to the top of the left panel on desktop to make it easier to turn on and off the calendars you want to see and receive notifications for.
Calendar users now have the option to switch their hours display to a 24-hour clock by going to the “Date Options” item in the gear icon menu. The administrator page now sorts administrators alphabetically and does not allow duplicates.
Users can now export a spreadsheet of all events on a given calendar by going to the gear icon and selecting the “Download” option.
Calendar administrators can now add other calendar administrators by name. A bug affecting the last modified date on events has been resolved. Clicking outside the editing window while creating or updating an event no longer dismisses the window. The unit name has been added to email notifications.
Calendar administrators can now create new calendars. A bug affecting the display message for private calendars has also been fixed.
Calendar administrators can now view, add, and remove calendar editors by name or calling.
The last modified date and time have been added to the event details screen.
The previous eye icon on the left panel to show and hide calendars has been replaced with a new checkbox design. A bug preventing building schedulers emails from showing on events has also been fixed.
Calendar administrators can now rename and remove existing calendars using the Manage Calendars link in the menu under the gear icon. The description text for calendar events now supports returns between paragraphs. A bug related to repeating events and conflict detection has also been resolved.
Calendar users can now manage which calendars show in the left panel. They can also now enable and disable notifications for their calendars. These settings can be found by going to the gear icon in the top right corner of the calendar and clicking the Choose Calendars option in the menu.
The color of the event title on the month view now matches the color of the associated calendar. The dot color for the event now matches the color of the associated location calendar. If there is no location associated with the event, the dot is hidden.
A bug preventing users from creating an event after a conflict has been fixed. Another bug causing event counts to be off by 1 when zooming in or rotating the device has also been resolved.
Users of the calendar can now manually update their time zone by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner and then “Date Options” in the associated menu.
An eye icon has been added next to locations, stake name, and ward name in the left panel. Clicking this icon will turn off and on all calendars in those groups, instead of needing to turn indivdual calendars off and on one at a time.
A bug preventing users from scrolling on the left panel has been resolved. The alert has been updated to highlight the availability of syncing to other calendar tools.
The height of the area above the calendar grid has been reduced to allocate more space to showing more events on the calendar. Building schedulers also now have additional access to edit all events for their building, even if it is created on a different calendar.
When creating a new event, the end date is now automatically set to match the start date once chosen. The end time is also now set automatically to be one hour later than the chosen start time. The end date and time can then be changed as desired.
A bug preventing Calendar administrators from removing building scheduler access has been fixed.
A bug causing visual overlap between the gear icon menu and the calendar month view has been fixed. Both email and phone number are now optional when creating new events.
Building schedulers are now listed first on the event detail screen. A bug preventing members in newly created wards from accessing Calendar has been fixed.
Syncing of Calendar events to other calendar tools such as Google Calendar and Outlook has been restored. Calendar administrators can also now add and remove building schedulers.
A bug preventing editing of recurring events has been fixed.
An alert notifying members about the Calendar 4.0 release with a link to an article with more details has been added.
An update has been made to the navigation to support older browsers.

Changing the zoom of the web browser now dynamically displays more than two events per day, based on the space in the square for each day.
A bug preventing private calendars from being visible in the month view has been fixed. A bug causing the "+2 events” link to fall outside the day box on devices with low resolution has been fixed. All-day events are now displayed with a colored bar that extends across multiple days.
A bug preventing saving of events when “Other” location is selected has been fixed.
The event details page now shows the date range of multi-day events.
A bug related to daylight savings issues has been fixed.
A bug causing the previously chosen start time to be lost after editing has been fixed.
A bug preventing rooms from populating in the locations list after editing has been fixed. The location of the event is now displayed on the event detail screen. Building schedulers now have additional view rights on the Member Tools mobile app.
Calendar editors can now click a day in the month view to create a new event.
New month and year selectors has been added at the top of the screen to enable faster navigation to future dates.
A bug causing newly created events in the week view to not show in the month view has been fixed. Email is now optional when creating new events. Building schedulers can now see all events at locations.
If a calendar is currently hidden, it is set to visible when a newly created event is added to it.
A bug preventing some Calendar administrators from managing events has been fixed.
A link to Calendar help articles has been added. Calendar events can now be created down to 10-minute intervals.
