Temples are reopening in phases due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Ground has been broken in for the Bacolod Philippines Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday morning, December 11, 2021.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the open house and dedication dates for the Bangkok Thailand Temple.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the dates of the open house for the Rio de Janeiro Brazil Temple.

The public is invited to tour the temple from Saturday, March 26, 2022, through Saturday, April 16, 2022, except for March 27 and April 2, 3, and 10, 2022.

After careful consideration, and to simplify temple operations, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will permanently close the cafeterias inside its temples in early 2022. The Guayaquil Ecuador and Hamilton New Zealand Temples will require a longer transition period. Cafeterias that are currently closed due to the pandemic will not reopen.

For many years, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Winnipeg, Manitoba, have held onto the promise that one day they would have a temple. This promise was realized on October 31, 2021, as the Winnipeg Manitoba Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was dedicated in three sessions by Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
