This Month’s Theme: Greater Commitment to the Gospel
Hello, friends!
It can be daunting when you think about what Heavenly Father wants from you and realize the answer is “everything.” We covenant in the temple to consecrate our time, talents, and everything else we’ve been blessed with to building up Jesus Christ’s Church on the earth.
That’s our theme this month: developing and strengthening your commitment to Jesus Christ and His gospel. Enduring to the end.
We shouldn’t be overwhelmed, though! The Savior can help us. What’s important to God is that we are willing to sacrifice whatever He asks of us.
I’ve always loved the scripture where the Savior tells the Church that spiritual gifts are given “for the benefit of those who love me and keep all my commandments, and him [or her] that seeketh so to do” (Doctrine and Covenants 46:9, emphasis added).
It’s not just keeping commandments that brings blessings. Earnestly, sincerely trying to do so counts too.
