The Priesthood Restoration Site, Restored!

Pennsylvania. Susquehanna Co. Oakland Township. Priesthood Restoration Site

Imagine yourself traveling back in time to visit the actual place where the Aaronic Priesthood was restored. What would it be like there?

Since we don’t have any time machines available, here’s just a glimpse of what it was like based on photos of the Priesthood Restoration Site in Harmony, Pennsylvania, USA, where everything has been carefully restored to look as close as possible to how it would have looked in the 1800s.

Did you know that Emma Smith grew up in a fairly wealthy family? (See photos below.) Have you heard the story of Joseph Smith’s hiding the golden plates in a barrel of beans? (See photo below.) Do you know the story of how the priesthood was restored when Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery knelt to pray in the Pennsylvania woods? (See photo, above; see also D&C 13.)
