The Joy of Music

The Joy of Music

The lyrical power of flowing tunes,

Pure brilliance in sound and time,

Contains harmony, melody, texture and art,

Dynamics and rhythm and rhyme.

The black ink spotted on the page, dotted notes

Can amount to so much more;

When you organize, plan, produce, and create

A magnificent, well-written score.

The evoking of feelings depends on the form;

Be it romance or anger or fun.

There are all different genres of music on earth,

There is something for everyone.

But definitely the best music by far

Would most certainly have to be

The music of heaven, the singing of saints,

The songs of God’s love for you and me.
