Don’t Sell Yourself Short
Have you ever given up something you really wanted without even trying because you knew that you were too short, or too slow, or too homely, or too something else? Do you know that there are short basketball stars, and slow baseball stars, and homely movie stars, and great scientists whose teachers all thought they were stupid? Of course, it may turn out that you can’t be a great shortstop, but it’s for sure that you can do something extraordinarily well, and you’ll never know what it is unless you try.
You are capable of the most important achievement of all—the celestial kingdom. If anyone ever tells you to stop trying because you just don’t have it in you, don’t believe him. If you ever tell yourself you can’t make it, you’re wrong.
You are a child of God. Don’t ever forget it. Don’t sell yourself short.
