Visit “Studying the Scriptures” to help prepare yourself spiritually to learn.
Jesus Christ is at the center of our Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation. He invites all to turn to Him by living His doctrine (see Moses 6:52). This lesson can help you understand how to turn to Jesus Christ and receive blessings only He and His Father can offer.
Study the Scriptures
Study this illustration of the Savior:
Using a scale of 1 (not true of me) to 5 (true of me), evaluate yourself using the following statements:
-
I know why I need a Savior.
-
I understand how I can come unto Jesus Christ.
-
I currently want to come to and follow Jesus Christ.
Regardless of how you evaluated yourself, the Savior wants you to come unto Him and receive the blessings that only He can offer you.
The prophet Enoch taught his people the importance of God’s plan and the role Jesus Christ has in that plan.
As you study the words of the prophet Enoch today, pay attention to impressions from the Spirit to better understand why you need the Savior and how you can come unto Him.
Definitions. In Moses 6:59, the following can be helpful to understand the verse.

What is the doctrine of Christ?
In Moses 6:52 we learn important elements of the process of following the doctrine of Christ:
-
Believe in Him.
-
Repent.
-
Be baptized.
-
Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
About this doctrine, President Russell M. Nelson shared:
The pure doctrine of Christ is powerful. It changes the life of everyone who understands it and seeks to implement it in his or her life. The doctrine of Christ helps us find and stay on the covenant path. Staying on that narrow but well-defined path will ultimately qualify us to receive all that God has. Nothing could be worth more than all our Father has! (“Pure Truth, Pure Doctrine, and Pure Revelation,” Liahona, Nov. 2021, 6)
Study one of the aspects of the doctrine of Christ, focusing on how it helps you turn to Jesus Christ. Use the footnotes, index, Topical Guide, and other resources in your scriptures. Topics and Questions, general conference talks, and the search feature in Gospel Library can also help. Tag what you find with the doctrine you chose to study.

Faith in Jesus Christ
-
Repentance
-
Baptism
-
Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost
Read Moses 6:62 to see another term Heavenly Father uses to describe the doctrine of Christ.
Record in a note next to Moses 6:62 what you have noticed about the role of Jesus Christ in Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation.
Option B
What blessings can I receive as I turn to Christ?
In Moses 6:52, the Lord invited Enoch to turn to, hearken, and believe in Him. Enoch and his people were blessed as they turned to the Lord. He has promised the same blessings to you.
Read three or more of the following scripture references. For each passage, identify a blessing you can receive by turning to Christ. Then tag the passage using the blessing you find. You might also link the verses together.
-
Matthew 11:28–30. Christ invites us to take His yoke upon us.
-
2 Nephi 31:18, 21. Christ is the only way for us to be saved in the kingdom of God.
-
Ether 12:27. Christ will turn our weakness into strength.
-
Moroni 10:32–33. We can only achieve perfection through Christ.
Share one of the verses you read with a loved one. Include your testimony.
