Overview
The book of Psalms contains poetic expressions of worship for the Father and Son as well as prophecies about the life and mission of Jesus Christ. In Psalm 23, David described his relationship with Jesus Christ through a series of beautiful images. In Psalm 24, David helped us understand how we can prepare to “ascend into the hill of the Lord” (Psalm 24:3).
Create settings and opportunities for learners to be taught by the Holy Ghost. Inspirational music can invite the influence of the Holy Ghost and create a feeling of reverence in class. An example of how to do this can be found in Lesson 100: “Introduction to Psalms, Part 1.”
To learn more about helping learners be taught by the Holy Ghost, see “The Savior Provided Opportunities for People to Be Taught by the Holy Ghost” (Teaching in the Savior’s Way, p. 17–18).
