Exodus 7–11

Exodus 7–13

Overview

The Lord demonstrated His power before Pharaoh many times in a series of plagues. The last plague that would free the Israelites was death to all the firstborn children in Egypt. However, the Lord gave instructions so the plague would “pass over” people who obediently put their trust in Him (see Exodus 12:13). To help the children of Israel remember that the Lord delivered them from Egypt, He instituted the Feast of the Passover. This week also includes a Doctrinal Mastery Practice lesson.

seminary iconHelp students find personal meaning in the doctrine you teach. Helping students recognize the personal relevance of the Savior’s doctrine can help what they learn feel meaningful and useful. An example of how to do this can be found in Lesson 43: “Exodus 12–13, Part 2.” To learn more, see “The Savior Helped People Find Personal Relevance in His Doctrine” (Teaching in the Savior’s Way [2022], 23).
