Pointing Us All to Jesus Christ
In the Book of Mormon, we read that the Lord prepared the Liahona to help Lehi and his family progress on their journey. It was a “compass, which would point unto them a straight course to the promised land” (Alma 37:44). Under the direction of living prophets, the Liahona magazine in our day is a guide that goes with us on our journey and points the way to Jesus Christ.

Key Audiences
The Liahona provides inspiring gospel material for all adult members, including content for single adults, young adults, new members, mature members, leaders, teachers, and parents. For young adults, the Liahona also publishes some of the articles found in YA Weekly, a digital magazine for young adults.
Global Reach
The Liahona strives to bless members all around the world. The magazine is published in 23 languages every month in digital and print formats and in an additional 27 languages every other month in print—with selected magazine content available digitally in the months a print magazine is not available. A selection of key messages is made available digitally to be distributed locally in an additional 39 languages. This makes Liahona content available to members in about 150 countries every month.

Area-Specific Articles
The full Liahona is translated into 48 languages. Almost every issue includes content produced by local committees of employees or called volunteers in areas around the world. This local content includes messages from Area Presidency members, articles on local events, stories and testimonies from local members, and more. For most areas, this content is available in the digital Liahona in the Gospel Library.
