The Savior has said, “Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me” (D&C 19:23). As you continue to learn about Jesus Christ and His gospel, your faith in Him will increase, and you will find greater peace, understanding, and direction in this life. Your love for God and His Son, Jesus Christ, will grow. You will “[begin] to feel a desire for the welfare of [others]” (Enos 1:9), and you will want to further serve God and those around you.

During His ministry on the earth, Jesus Christ formed His Church to make His power and priesthood ordinances* available to all of God’s children and to help each of us be strong, unified followers of Christ (see Ephesians 4:11–15). This same Church was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith in our time. Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a great blessing that provides you the opportunity to help build God’s kingdom. Continually learning and serving in Jesus Christ’s Church helps you strengthen your relationship with God and remain on the path back to Him.
