Lehi and Sariah’s family were traveling to the promised land. God told Lehi to send his sons back to Jerusalem to get the scriptures. They were written on metal plates.

Nephi and his brothers brought the brass plates back to their family. Lehi and Sariah were so happy! They studied the scriptures on the plates. They learned about God’s commandments.
