3 Nephi 17–19

Overview

After teaching the multitude, the Savior announced it was time for Him to go. Nevertheless, their tears and yearning that He would stay a little longer touched His heart. In a marvelous display of compassion, He healed them, prayed with them, and blessed their children one by one. He instructed them about the ordinance of the sacrament, and He showed them how to pray. He then departed, and the next day, the multitude gathered again. They were baptized and were filled with the Holy Ghost, and angels ministered to them. Jesus appeared once more and continued to teach them.
