Article of Faith 8

“We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.”

The Bible has the words of prophets who testified of Jesus Christ. When people translated it, they changed or left out some important parts. That’s why we believe the Bible is the word of God except for any errors or missing parts.

The Book of Mormon also contains teachings of prophets. Joseph Smith translated it with Heavenly Father’s help, so nothing was changed or left out.

Articles of Faith in Action

I decided I wanted to finish the Book of Mormon by myself, so I started reading it. I finally finished about a week ago. I was very happy. My favorite part was 2 Nephi 30:12–14, where all the animals and children will love each other when Jesus comes back.
