The administrative center of the Lord’s Restored Church is clustered around Temple Square, in the heart of Salt Lake City. Some buildings of interest include:

Church History Library:
Archives for the preservation of latter-day Church history.
Building completed in 2009.

Church Office Building:
Central offices for various Church departments.
Building completed in 1972.

Relief Society Building:
Headquarters for the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society General Presidencies.
Building completed in 1956.

Church Administration Building:
Offices for the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and some members of the Seventy.
Building completed in 1917.

Joseph Smith Memorial Building:
Originally a hotel, now contains a theater for Church films, restaurants, Church administrative offices, and a chapel.
Hotel completed in 1911; renovated in 1993.

Salt Lake Temple:
Before it closed in December 2019 for renovations, it was one of 166 temples operating worldwide. It will reopen in 2024.
Dedicated in 1893.

North Visitors’ Center:
Helps welcome 3 to 5 million visitors to Temple Square each year.
Building completed in 1963.

Salt Lake Tabernacle:
Home of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.
Building completed in 1875.

Helps tell the story of the Church through art and artifacts.
Building completed in 1984.

Family History Library:
The largest genealogical library in the world.
Building completed in 1985.

Conference Center:
Current site of general conference, seats 21,000 people; also used for concerts and cultural events.
