Marble Game

To make this marble game, you will need: a cardboard shoe box, scissors, a marking pen, masking tape, and marbles.

Remove the lid from the shoe box. Turn the box upside down and cut five different-size openings in one of its long sides (see illustration). Number the openings as illustrated, the larger openings having the lower numbers, and the smaller openings having the larger numbers.

To play the game, place the shoe box, with the entrances facing you, against a wall. Use the masking tape to mark a shooting line 1.2 meters in front of the box. Give each player five marbles. Each player shoots all of his marbles in each turn, adding the numbers of the openings his marbles went in. The player with the highest score after three turns each is the winner.
