Lewis Dunbar Wilson

(1805–56)

Lewis Dunbar Wilson was born in Milton, Vermont. He married Nancy Ann Waggner in about 1830. He was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1836 and was ordained an elder that same year. In 1837 he moved to Caldwell County, Missouri. He was ordained a Seventy in about April 1839. Later that year, he moved to Commerce, Illinois, which was later renamed Nauvoo, where he was ordained a high priest and appointed a member of the high council. He migrated to the Salt Lake Valley, in Utah Territory, in 1853.
