My mother’s death was one of the hardest times in my life. But thanks to the power of God, I did not focus on that adversity. I tried to cheer up and keep going on the covenant path. Church leaders comforted and encouraged me—I felt that I was not alone.
Through this experience, I learned that God loves me and doesn’t leave me on my own.
He was there all the time.
Another time, I was sick. I was about to despair, thinking the disease would not go away. But when I received a priesthood blessing, I felt God’s power working in me.
Every morning, I don’t feel comfortable until I pray and read the Book of Mormon. Even if it’s not a long chapter but only a few verses, it gives me strength for the day.
Turn to the holy scriptures to get comfort and strength. They are powerful tools in our day to face challenges and trials. When you read and search the Book of Mormon, you will receive personal revelation.
